Help with reading, recognizing and translating text in Lexevra.

Email the maintainer, Md Mazharul Islam:

Include your Chrome version, Lexevra version, language pair and what happened. Share only sample text you are comfortable emailing.

Translation is unavailable

Use desktop Chrome 138 or later. Allow the first native language-pack download to finish while online. Language support and availability depend on your browser, device and administrator policies.

Image text is recognized incorrectly

Choose the original language, capture a clear, closely cropped region and expand Correct original text to fix the recognized source. If you can select or copy the text directly, use text mode or paste it into the PDF workspace to skip OCR.

The meaning seems wrong

Translate complete sentences and try the surrounding-paragraph option where available. Chrome’s local model can misread context or produce literal idioms. An OCR correction does not guarantee a correct translation. Please report a non-confidential example with its intended meaning.

A PDF or page does not allow selection

Some browser pages and protected viewers restrict extensions. Use the snapshot workspace for visible PDF content, or paste copied text. For local documents, enable file URL access in Chrome’s extension settings.

Remove temporary work

Use Turn off, navigate away or close the source tab. Preferences remain locally until cleared or the extension is uninstalled. Read the privacy policy for details.
