Lexevra Privacy Policy
Effective date: November 8, 2026. Applies to Lexevra 1.4.2.
Lexevra is maintained by Md Mazharul Islam. Support and privacy contact: mazharulislam742@yahoo.com.
What Lexevra processes
Lexevra processes text you select or paste, visible screenshots you explicitly capture, recognized text, translations, and the language and appearance preferences you choose. Temporary tab identifiers and page information are used to associate work with its source tab and manage capture/result windows. Password inputs are excluded from automatic selection handling.
While you use its selection tools, Lexevra handles selection and pointer events, including crop coordinates. It checks the current tab's URL to choose an appropriate page or PDF workflow and clear work on navigation. This is limited to the invoked workflow; Lexevra does not build a browsing-history log or track activity across unrelated tabs.
Text recognition runs locally with bundled Tesseract OCR. Translation runs locally through Chrome's Translator API and native language packs. Chrome may download its native language packs on first use; Chrome's own browser services are governed by its policies. Lexevra does not send selected text, screenshots, recognized text, or translations to an external translation service or developer-operated server.
Lexevra has no account system, analytics, advertising, remote translation fallback, or comparison website integration. The developer does not collect or sell your translation data. Links to browser setup/help may open Chrome settings; they do not export the text being translated.
Lexevra's use of user data complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Data is used only to provide the disclosed translation and text-recognition features. It is not sold, used for advertising, profiling or lending, or made available for the developer to read.
Storage and retention
Language and appearance preferences are stored in Chrome's local extension storage, not synchronized by Lexevra. They remain until cleared or the extension is uninstalled.
Activation, source text, translations, and temporary screenshot views are associated with a source tab in in-memory browser session storage. Turning off Lexevra, navigating or closing the source tab clears its session data. Closing the associated capture window clears its capture session. Browser restart clears session storage. PDF snapshots may be retained during repeated selections; snapshots older than ten minutes cannot be reused without refresh. Cropped image data is processed in memory. The OCR worker is terminated after up to 60 seconds idle, on a language change, or after a recognition failure.
Your controls
Use Turn off, navigate away, or close the source tab to end processing and remove that tab's temporary data. Preferences can be changed in Lexevra. Remove the extension to remove its stored preferences. Chrome controls access to file URLs and whether extensions can run in incognito mode.
Lexevra uses temporary access to explicitly invoked tabs rather than blanket website permissions. It cannot read protected content that Chrome does not expose; its snapshot workflow reads visible pixels.
Updates and contact
This policy will be revised when Lexevra's data handling changes. Contact the publisher using the profile above or the support contact shown on the store listing. Do not include confidential document contents in public support requests.
This website and support email
This website is hosted on Vercel. When you visit, the hosting provider handles your IP address and normal request information to deliver and secure the pages. See Vercel’s privacy policy for its data practices. This page does not use analytics, advertising, tracking cookies, a contact form or an account system. The homepage requests the public availability of Lexevra from our own website endpoint. That endpoint checks a fixed public Chrome Web Store page from the hosting server; it does not forward visitor cookies, IP addresses, translation text or screenshots to Google.
If you email support, your message and email address are processed to respond to your request through our email provider. Please do not send passwords, confidential document contents or sensitive screenshots.
